  • Overview

    Capstone Corporation is currently seeking Visitor/Access Management Specialist to support a client located in the Washington, DC area.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensures the visitor is located with the Virtual Management System (VMS) prior to assigning the visitor a visitor badge.
    • Verifies the validity of visitor's identification for non-Common Access Card (CAC)/Personal Identity Verification (PIV) holders.
    • Issues parking passes that are approved in either VMS or by the Security Office.
    • Provides direct support, management, and guidance to Visitor Management Branch personnel.
    • Coordinates to ensure requests are processed in a manner that meets Agency operational needs, addresses non routine visitor requests, and/or alerts Security offices to any emergency visitor needs that affect the life safety or could cause major damage to a government facility.

    • Answers telephones and electronic emails as they pertain to assigned duties.
    • Conducts background checks utilizing the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database to include adjudication of results.
    • Processes all visit requests to the campus utilizing Passage Point software and other IT systems.
    • Supports large events and ceremonies on campus.
    • Assists with managing the access control portion of upper campus construction projects.
    • Provides briefings, advising of procedures, policies, and addendums pertinent to approved upper campus access.
    • Conducts secondary inquiries into immigration databases throughout the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications Systems (NLETS) and makes determinations based upon potential vistiors' criminal history.
    • Provides technical writing support related to reports, memorandums, and other written correspondence.

    Basic Qualifications

    Minimum education and years experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Four (4) years experience in conducting analytical and support activities.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
    • Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.

    Minimum clearance:

    • DoD Final Secret clearance.
