  • Overview

    Capstone Corporation is currently seeking Contract Specialists to provide support to a government customer located at Chantilly, VA.  These positions will be filled upon final contract award.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as business advisor with regard to acquisition strategy, contract types, market research, contracting methods, and sole source and competitive procedures.
    • Supports pre-award function including but not limited to:
      • Preparing contract related documents (e.g., Acquisition Research Center (ARC) postings, Acquisition Plans, Contract Review Panel (or equivalent) briefings, and other documentation required for contract award and administration);
      • Supporting proposal evaluations;
      • Performing cost/price analysis;
      • Communicating with industry;
      • Developing negotiation positions; and
      • Obtaining required reviews and approvals.
    • Supports post-award functions including but not limited to:
      • Administering contracts;
      • Executing contracts;
      • Managing contract file and database systems;
      • Supporting continuous compliance reviews;
      • Identifying and resolving contract performance problems/issues;
      • Processing, tracking, and reviewing invoices;
      • Processing, logging and tracking Request for Contract Action (RCA) documents;
      • Preparing and disseminating contract modifications;
      • Responding to data-calls;
      • Compiling and reporting contract status to management;
      • Preparing contract documentation to support briefings and meetings; and
      • Preparing contracts for settlement.

    Basic Qualifications

    Minimum education and years of experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • From zero (0) to thirteen (13) years of related experience.
    • DAWIA certification.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, primarily Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
    • Appropriate background knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Source Selection process.

    Minimum clearance requirement:

    • TS/SCI and Poly eligible.
