  • Overview

    Capstone Corporation is seeking Intermediate Watch Analysts to support the Federal Protective Services (FPS) Incident Management Division - Watch and Briefing Support Services.  These positions are located in the Washington, DC area.

    Responsibilities

    • Formulates and applies mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
    • Collects and analyzes data and develops decision support software, service, or products. May develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
    • Manages all aspects of daily watch functions and has authority over IMC watch personnel.
    • Directs watch personnel processes and information flow.
    • Prioritizes tasks and efforts and coordinates information gathering and reporting with other FPS Elements.
    • Maintains situational awareness of DHS related events, incidents, and threats.
    • Manages watch schedule.
    • Reviews and approves incident reports and reporting products before
      distribution.
    • Maintains RFI database, assigns RFIs, tracks RFI’s, and ensures RFI’s are
      reviewed and approved.
    • Ensures Blotter is received and reviewed.
    • Produces, reviews, and briefs the DISAR. Ensures DISAR is distributed.
    • Maintains distribution lists.
    • Maintains and reviews watch turnover/pass down report.
    • Ensures SigAct Roll Up is received and reviewed.
    • Participates in the 0635 hour and 1330 hour daily NPPD Ops Calls.
    • Manages Future Ops Report.
    • Participates in the daily 0600 hour USCP call.
    • Drafts Alert Bulletin, Flash report, and NPPD Daily Update.
    • Requests data from FPS and NPPD entities.
    • Accesses, navigates, and utilizes WebRMS, EIS, HSDN, HSIN, MIST,
      SharePoint, and Major Events Dashboard.
    • Reserves, setups, and connects VTC.
    • Maintains telephone roster.

    Basic Qualifications

    Minimum education and experience:

    • High school diploma.
    • Five (5) years of related experience.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Capable of briefing Senior Leadership on priority information requirements.
    • Capable of maintaining the COP.
    • Ability to work shifts rotating to support watch services 24/7/365.
    • Familiarity with Web RMS, EIS, HSDN, HSIN, MIST, SharePoint, and Major Events Dashboard.
    • Understanding and ability to support a variety of meeting environments including VTCs, teleconference, and in-person.

    Minimum Security Clearance:

    • Top Secret/SCI clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
