  • Overview

    Capstone Corporation is currently seeking an IT Analyst to perform IT systems analysis and make recommendations for capabilities in support of  the Technical and Enterprise Support CIO/C109 Department at the Naval Sea Command (NAVSEA), located at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.

     

    This position will be filled upon contract award.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops, designs, documents, maintains, evaluates, supports and provides problem resolution for computer and IT systems applications to perform a variety of technical and analytical services across the systems development life-cycle to include IT Portfolio Management.
    • Supports assessments of organization's challenges using specialized skills and knowledge.
    • Contributes to the execution of project or task plan and helps assess the impact of industry trends, policy or standard methodologies.
    • Conducts activities in support of the project team's objectives.

     

    Basic Qualifications

     

    Minimum education and years of experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related discipline AND at least three (3) years of IT support experience; OR five (5) years of IT support experience.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Must have three (3) years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in NGEN/NMCI networks and their installation and experience of networks, their configurations, and their interconnectivity.
    • Must have the capability of communicating effectively and positively with civilian, government/military personnel, and other contractors at all levels of staff and management to assure customer satisfaction.
    • Knowledge of network equipment, hardware, and software including, but not limited to switches, routers, etc., and the cabinets and infrastructure to support these devices.
    • Knowledge of how to maintain or develop software/database programs/applications or demonstrates ability in installation, set-up and operation of computer systems applicable to networks.
    • Possesses knowledge of how to operate software applications which support service desk operations (e.g. caller ticket documentation application).
    • Knowledge of how to configure, install and administer the following hardware/software (including, but not limited to):
      • Hardware: network switches; routers; McAfee Firewall Enterprise.
      • Software: MS Windows operating systems; UNIX/Linux operating systems; SQL Server 2008/2012.
      • Cisco Secure Access Control System Ver. 5.4, Splunk, Solar Winds, Cisco ISE, and AutoCAD.
      • Wireless Network Hardware/Software.

    Clearance:

    • Secret clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
