  • Overview

    Capstone Corporation is currently seeking an Information System Security Officer to support the Department of the Army (DA) G 3/5/7 designated Mission Training Complex (MTC) located at The Berry Mission Training Complex at Ft Polk, LA. This training supports small units (squads through companies) and medium-sized units (battalions and brigades) in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Full Spectrum Operations (FSO). 

     

    Capstone endeavors to support the Berry Mission Training Complex with collective Mission Command training, Leader Training and Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Games for Training (GFT), and constructive simulations-supported training, as well as facilities management and access control.  Capstone must be able to simultaneously conduct these training requirements and be able to combine these events into a simultaneous synthetic environment using the Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVCG) Integrated Training Environment (ITE).

     

    This position will be filled upon contract award.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the overall coordinator and implementer for the MTC’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) program.
    • Ensures the appropriate operational security posture is maintained and documented for MTC information systems.
    • Defines and implements standard operating procedures, implements DOD, Army, and MTC RMF policies, and creates and implements plans of action and milestones in response to vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
    • Assures successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate Information Technology policies and procedures consistent with the MTC mission and goals.

    Basic Qualifications

    Minimum education and years experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject.
    • Expert understanding of NIST, DoD, and Army Cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework policies, directives, instructions, manuals, and best business practices.

    Certification:

    • IAM Level II (CAP, or CASP, or CISSP, or CISM, or GSLC).

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Possess knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating Information Technology security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities.
    • Possess knowledge of disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans (COOP).
    • Possess knowledge of enterprise incident response program, roles, and responsibilities.
    • Possess knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of Defense-in-Depth).
    • Possess knowledge of known vulnerabilities from alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins.
    • Possess knowledge of measures or indicators of system performance and availability.
    • Possess knowledge of network systems management principles, models, tools, and methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring).
    • Possess knowledge of server administration and systems engineering theories, concepts, and methods.
    • Possess knowledge of systems lifecycle management principles, including software security and usability.
    • Possess insight to determine how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes.

     

    Minimum clearance:

    • Final DoD Secret Clearance.
