Overview

Capstone Corporation is currently seeking a Situational Awareness Operations Specialist to provide support to Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), located at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the N37 Staff with the flow of information to the staff, regions and installations.
  • Prepares and disseminates briefs in accordance with Commander requirements.
  • Provides oral and written responses and briefings for queries by Echelon I, II, III, and IV commands, leadership, and staff, installation Emergency Operation Centers (EOCs) and by external clients for approval by the Government representative.
  • Maintains and tracks status of equipment in the Shore Enterprise Operations Center (SEOC).
  • Handles classified material and maintains open secret secure space access roster.
  • Supports, implements, and directs Crisis Action Team Operations Informations Management using the C4I Suite and all other available information systems in the SEOC.
  • Promotes knowledge sharing among Echelon I, II, III, and IV commands and other stakeholder organizations through collaborative business processes.
  • Follows local security procedures and supports USN Information Assurance (IA) requirements to ensure the security and integrity of the SEOC.
  • Screens, categorizes, and reformats all incoming message traffic for distribution.
  • Maintains positive access control to the SEOC.
  • Deploys and executes Continuity of Operations (COOP).
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations and policy governing secure communications equipment and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Eight (8) years military experience, including five (5) years experience in operations center, command center, or communications center operations.
  • Direct knowledge of, and experience with Navy Installation Emergency Management or equivalent program.

Minimum clearance:

  • DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • IAEM CEM or AEM certification
