Overview

Capstone Corporation is currently seeking and Information Assurance Engineer to provide support to Commander, Navy Installations Command.  This position is primarily located in Norfolk, VA.

 

This position will be filled upon final task order award.

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-site Information Assurance (IA) technical expertise in a broad array of areas, including IA and network security policy, Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP) and Risk Management Framework (RMF), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Cloud Services, and data-at-rest requirements.
  • Provides support for architecture design, engineering, implementing, integrating and operating cyber security solutions.
  • Supports network and system security engineering.
  • Assesses network and system vulnerability, application and software security.
  • Assesses security configuration and compliance management.
  • Monitors and updates plans and schedules in order to ensure that project goals are achieved.
  • Performs security testing and evaluation of applications against applicable security criteria using common tools, including ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker, and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Develops mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities discovered during security testing and assists programs with completing security documentation to meet Assessment and authorization requirements, as required.
  • Provides support for all aspects of Certification and Accreditation activities to include eMass, DIACAP, RMF, IV&V, and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM).

Basic Qualifications

Minimum education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other specialized technical area. 
  • Twelve years of advanced technical training including three (3) years of experience performing security administration, analysis, and testing within Windows operating system environments and experience performing relevant certification and accreditation activities.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Background with Windows operating systems including auditing, account management, group and local policy, Active Directory, access control.
  • Understanding of system de-bugging and backups.
  • Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Clearance required:

  • Final DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security+ Certification.
